(Rev.) Joni's event post reminded me that people use the word "meditation" very casually. I often assume that people who say "meditation" mean the Buddist/East Indian "lotus position" variety. The Maharishi seems to have gotten early exposure with that style (TM) and it seems to have stuck.
Anybody practice meditation using any OTHER style?
I have had exposure to the Chinese "Standing Meditation" (Zhan Zuang), as well as the Tibetan version. I find either to be helpful, as well as conferring many benefits that TM-style meditation doesn't touch. I like it so much that I have become certified to teach the Tibetan version.
Thoughts??
