Is anyone interested in the healing powers of essential oils? I have some amazing, pure, high grade oils that are used medicinally. They are from france where regualr doctors use essential oils instead of medicines. Write back if you want to know more or could share anything. Kaya

Re: essential oils
Thu, August 4, 2005 - 3:40 PMHi Kaya. Though at this time I have the oils I need, I would be happy to show you how essentials oils can be used in conjunction with energy healing. I am a Huna practitioner and together with mana infusions essential oils and supercritical extracts can be used to accelerate physical healing. Do you have a connection for "Oud"? I purchased 1ml for about $70.00 about 5 years ago. I still have most of it because I use it rarely for spiritual purposes. I live near Portland. Aloha, Eric aka Lamaku.

Re: essential oils
Mon, December 12, 2005 - 10:31 AMI spent about 5 years working with Essential oils. I had a business, "PlantEssence" natural body care, that made personal care products (lip balm, air fresheners, body oils, deodorants, etc.) using essential oils as the base and primary ingredients. I quit the business - sold it, actually - for many reasons. One of those reasons is the tendency for some people to ascribe these materials with some kindo of "magic(k)ial" properties, or to think of them like people think of drugs. One of my former co-workers used to say, "it's medicine, not miracles."
That said, essential oils have some wonderful properties, and some of those are clearly therapeutic. Tea Tree is great for certain types of fungus (nail fungus, or certain strains of foot fungus), for example. The best oils are from European sources, specifically France, as they are primarily used in the perfume industry.
I would caution you to be careful about any "healing properties" of essential oils, unless you define that term rather generally. There is some lore that essential oils kept some people from succumbing to the "Black plague" in the Middle Ages, for example. However, the "healing" powers of essential oils are limited, so it might be helpful for you to elaborate on what kind of healing you want to do with them.
